Believe you can change (Aaron Swartz’s Raw Thought)

I’ve become more growth-mindset oriented in the past few years. I’ve always leaned toward it but now it swallows and towers over any fixed-mindset attitudes I have left. It also explains my frustration when helping people. At first I assumed if just have to leave the fixed-mindset people figure it out eventually yet this article is very hopeful about coveting one to the other. Perhaps now I can better help those who feel stuck and understand why that is. It is literally a philosophy about your relationship to the world. Fixed (deterministic, materialistic) vs growth (indeterminate, improvement) may be a topic I tackle in the future. How about you? Which do you resonate with? Do you have moments of each? How can you change your language to change from one to the other? http://www.aaronsw.com/weblog/dweck
